Its prehistoric crash-landing in Namibia scattered iron fragments across the Kalahari desert, and it wasn’t until 1836 that Western scientists first documented it — but the local Nama people had been crafting spearheads and tools from it for centuries, perhaps even millenia.

The meteorite fragments bear a strikingly beautiful, geometric crystal pattern — the natural result of cooling over millions of years in space — that gives them an intriguing, otherworldly appearance. Through its powdery, ethereal scent, Gibeon reflects the mystique of its meteorite namesake.

Gibeon opens with the soft powderiness of neroli, a quality amplified by the heart note of Tuscan orris that defines the composition with its luxurious, velvety caress. Gibeon’s enduring smoothness comes from its Madagascan vanilla and tonka bean pairing, with clean musk and the warm, balsamic nuances of cedarwood completing a dreamlike base.
