THE DELICIOUS AND IRRESISTIBLE - Philippe Di Méo, founder and perfumer of Liquides Imaginaires, embarked on a journey to reinvent citrus scents in perfumery. By studying the history and science of citrus hybridization, he aimed to surpass traditional citrus fragrances, known as "Hesperides," and create something entirely new.

He discovered new citrus varieties that combined creativity and nature, leading to unexpected scents such as spicy mandarin, creamy citron, and hybrid Buddha’s hands with gourmand notes. This exploration resulted in three unique citrus families: MANDARIN HOUSE, CEDRAT CLUB, and GREEN TERRACE, each representing an innovative interpretation of citrus fragrances.

In developing these innovative citrus perfumes, Philippe collaborated with seven talented students from the Givaudan Fragrance School. Together, they used upcycled ingredients, such as lemon and mandarin oils, that minimize waste by utilizing byproducts from the citrus industry. They also worked with Capua, a supplier of citrus raw materials from Calabria, Italy, and ORPUR, ensuring the highest purity and ethical sourcing.

This collaboration led to a revolutionary approach to citrus fragrances with a modern twist, where sustainability and quality are at the forefront.
