Hyaluronic Acid is a gel-like substance that our body produces naturally, and which fills the spaces between skin cells, holding them close together. But unfortunately, as we get older, the body’s production capacity decreases. By the time we reach the age of 50, levels of hyaluronic acid in the skin have decreased by up to 50%, causing a loss of elasticity.
